Frustrated and Confused about AIR 2 plus ios system
I am very frustrated. I was excited when I heard that Dronelink was compatible with my AIR 2S. After downloading it, I find out that it is not functional with practically any apple products. I am beside myself. Is there any solution that is financially feasible?

Dronelink works with A2S with either Android or IOS device. Their App had always worked with either deices system. Check out there help articles and videos for a ton more help. if you are having a problem then please post a specific question as to what the issues is. DL has amazing support and plenty of other pilots here to help Good luck and enjoy.

Pricing indicates both IOS and Android devices with the Air series.

Yikes. Glad you cleared that up, Mike. I was afraid I was going to have to break the bad news to my iPad Pro where I do some of my Dronelink planning and to my iPad Mini that I use to fly all my DL plans with my MA2S and M2P! ;-)
🤙🏼 Lol…
I saw that article several times before you sent it to me. I read:
Please avoid using Dronelink with these devices if possible (it will probably result in a bad user experience):
Thats a lot of iPhones and iPads I cant use. I am getting this statement when I try using dronelink software to create a mapping mission:
LOW PERFORMANCE DEVICE
Using this device may result in poor app performance or other unexpected issues. Please consider upgrading to a higher performance device for safer and more reliable experience.
I am using iPad Air 2 and would like to know what Apple product I should purchase. I am sorry for sounding dense and I really like the Dronelink interface, but I am having some trouble creating a mapping mission without it aborting the mission in mid flight.
I was recently forced to upgrade my device and I chose an Ipad mini (6'th gen) which works beautifully.
I understand your frustration. Dronelink is a very robust app and has increased substantially in capabilities the last couple of years. As a consequence, the power demands of the hosting device have also increased. Simply stated, you need a device that has been introduced and purchased in the last couple of years. The list is an attempt to identify those devices that may come up short due to their generation and when they were introduced.
Hi Michele. Your not dense. 😃 Sorry to hear your device wont work. That’s why they list the older low performance devices on their site so pilots don’t count on them working. The iPad Air 2 was released in 2014 so by todays standards it’s considered very, very old. IPad Mini 5th or 6th gen work great. The newer iPad Pro’s will work but larger and more money. I’ve used an iPad Mini 5 for almost two years with DL and it works great. The newer 6th gen is even more powerful. Just look at any iPad released with a year or two at the most and they should have no problem. Good luck. Amazing app.
thank you.
