Make sure you are in expert mode. Then click to expand advanced and you will see the item you are looking for.
Need to be Expert mode needs. Also mouse over the asterisks for Info.
Thank you Barry for the help
Mike . . . the mouse over does not work
Thank you
Ok. I don’t use a mouse with my iPad but it should pop up. I tried on my PC and it works but only on certain items like Range, Reset command history, high wind tolerance etc. I’d move it around on some settings and see which one will give a pop up. Maybe someone else can clear it up more.
Hi,
Agreed - the "Mouse-Over" does not work on many / most Asterisked fields.
In general we all want to have "Mouse Over" information on all the fields - not just a rare few. On-line contextual documentation / / definitions are invaluable (and would greatly reduce the user community constantly clamoring for documentation, manuals, guides, etc.).
In my case I am mystified by the "High Wind Tolerance" definition. The description does not really indicate how it does what it does? Does if slow down the speed by 25% for example? Or is it some kind of adaptive control that kicks in when off course errors are encountered?
Always curious and wanting to understand the product better the "mouse over" feature could / should be greatly expanded.
Daniel
The asterisk just means it is a required field, not that it necessarily has a mouse over.
Definitely always striving to create better docs, the issue with mouse over however, is that most people are using touch screens :(
Good to know! I suppose most Pros use a full PC or Laptop for mission planning and could really benefit of contextual definitions at their fingertips. For example, I've looked all over for the definition of the "Interpolation". What does it apply to? Waypoint Elevation Changes? Heading changes? Gimbal angle changes?
A simple mouse over would have quickly answered this for me, and others.
There are many other such unknowns that could be answered with a bit of hover-over help.
Thanks for your support in this improvement.
Daniel.
Sadly not true, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to have contextual help for touch screens (such as a settings toggle that adds a bunch of ? mark icons that can be tapped).
As I already said, we are definitely always striving to create better docs and will continue to do so. In the meantime, seeing is believing, which is why we created the Mission Preview. If you are ever unsure as to the result of a particular setting, just change it and see how it affects the preview.
