Dronelink iOS app crashes once connecting a cable to M300RTK Smartcontroller

Dmitry Bratanov

We run a Dronelink in terrain following mode using iPhone13. The mission was successful and smooth; great improvements. Then we attempted to conduct another mission, but the iOS Dronelink app started to crash every time we connect the USB cable to M300 SmartController.

The behaviour is the same for iPad Pro (M1) and iPhone: mission can be opened on the devices but the app crashes after 1 sec from connecting the tablet/phone to M300RTK smartcontroller. We updated the app since then to new release, but we still cannot conduct any flight with Dronelink.

Is it a specific mission plan causing the issue, or does the app crash even if you have no mission plan loaded? If it's a specific plan, can you please share it?

No, it is not a mission specific.

I can start Dronelink app on iPad/iPhone and load any mission.
Once I connect iPad/iPhone with a USB cable to DJI M300's Smart Controller (USB-port on the top), the controller reports "Aircraft connected to a mobile device. Exited DJI Pilot" and iPad/iPhone closes Dronelink app. Any attempt to start Dronelink app is unsuccessful: it runs for 1 sec and crashes.

When I disconnect USB cable, the Dronelink App is again operational on the iPad/iPhone. Power cycling of SmartController, iPad/iPhone does not help.

Did anything change from when it was working before? (firmware version, iOS version, Dronelink version, payload configuration, etc)
