Import Boundary Points for Map Missions

  • Updated

When mission planning with the Map component, it is possible to import KML boundary points for the map. This is particularly useful if you want to keep the same settings from a previous map or other map component and only update the boundary points as you duplicate map components.

Step 1 - Open the Advanced Settings for the Map Component

Step 2 - Select the Import Boundary Points Button

Select the Import Boundary Points button to upload a KML file with the new boundary points.

You can see in this example that we made a copy of a solar inspection map. Instead of dragging each of the boundary points to adjust the copy of the map, or creating a new map with the same settings, we will upload a KML.

Step 3 - Select File

Select the KML file from the pop-up and watch the map update. Note, the map component name will also change to show the name of the imported file.
