The Quick Start Series is designed to get you flying as soon as possible and will build a base of knowledge in Dronelink from which you can explore more advanced functionality.
The series covers multiple starting points for new users, mostly focused on waypoint missions. A mapping quick start series is coming soon.
On-the-fly Waypoint Mission
Pre-Planned Waypoint Mission
|Use the mobile app only to generate and fly a mission using the drone to mark waypoints. Fastest way to get started.||Create a mission plan on the web and fly with mobile app. Copy an existing waypoint mission to your location and make edits.|
The waypoint mission quick start series assumes that:
- You already have a paid Dronelink account that is not the mapper plan, if not sign up here
- You have already reviewed the system requirements for supported hardware
On-the-fly Mission - Path
Manually fly the drone to mark multiple waypoints using step-by-step instructions in the Dronelink mobile app. We'll start with the "Path" on-the-fly function.
See the resulting output of the generate path function:
Pre-Planned Mission - Quick Start Plan
Instead of designing a mission from scratch, we'll copy an existing mission plan to a location of your choice and make some minor changes. The Quick Start Plan captures 3 cinematic video clips and takes under 9 minutes to fly.
This section is broken down into the following sections:
- Create a Repository (aka folder) for your Mission Plan
- Copy an Existing Mission Plan to a New Location
- Understanding a Waypoint Mission Plan
- Basic Editing of your Flight Plan
- Executing the Mission
